20 Companies to Watch as IPO Market Heats Up

In the wake of the massively successful Demand Media IPO, many other companies have filed, or are contemplating filing to go public.  Companies such as Facebook, GroupOn and LivingSocial have the potential to become the next generation of leaders online.  These companies are characterized not only by rapid customer adoption, but also by breakout revenue growth.

For those of you with your head in the sand, we’re in the midst of a tech boom. The potential for liquidity has resulted in an increased amount of funding for early stage companies. This should lead to greater innovation and a better web for us all. Undoubtedly, there will be some bad bets. That said, I am hopeful that this time around, web companies will generate the shareholder value promised in the first dot-com boom.
